driving fron Miami airport

We are flying into Miami and apparently the car hire firms are 'off-airport'-just wondering which is best to use -Alomo or Dollar.
Also we are staying in fort lauderdale that night and just wondering the best way to get there from the airport-interstate 95 ??

Miami International Airport is well to the west of the city near Miami Springs. From there, you have to follow Route 112 east for a few miles before merging into I-95 North. I think you take Exit 27 for Fort Lauderdale (please double check this bit).

Both car hire providers are in the same area, so either would be okay, we prefer dollar but having said that the last car we hired from them was collected by us at Miami and it was probably the worst we have had from them.
