Hi. It is our first time to Florida and are finding it a bit bewildering regarding read only passports, do we/don't we need a visa, finger printing. Any advice would be appreciated [msnsmile]

If you have a machine readable EU-UK passport that has at least 6 months validity at the time of your travel, you will not need a visa but have to complete the Visa Waiver form prior to arrival. At immigrations, routine checks now include fingerprinting for everyone.
If you have had any past arrests with or without conviction for any reason, you'll not be eligible for Vis Waiver and have to apply for a visa via the US Embassy.
If you do not have a non-EU passport, you may need a visa depending on your nationality.
