I had another night photographing Illuminations at Epcot, this time from the other side of the lake. I think this is a better spot. I could happily spend the rest of my life trying all the other places around the lake to see which is the best.

One of the things I learned from these is that even my current widest angle lens isn't wide enough to pick up the highest shells in the display. What a great excuse for buying another lens. [msnsmile2]

Game on Rosie. [msnsmile2] I'm all yours.

I've just printed the photo that I'm going to post next. Alas it's the last one from last year's trip. I know this isn't going to sound very modest but it's, well, completely awesome. I'll finish my coffee and then shrink it for the forums and upload it. Hope you like it.

I think you should invest in that lens Steve, cutting off those high bursts is terrible. Great photgraphs though, must be a big cup of coffee i've been waiting in anticipation for the next pic.[msnwink]

Hi,

Really great photos, we are going in three weeks and this is going to be one of the highlights, Karen loves illuminations, as do I.

Thanks for the photos.

It's a Nikon D70 John. For these ones I had on the 17-55mm f/2.8 DX lens. Some of the other photo threads have some more technical details and bits and pieces of discussion too.
