Celebrating its first holiday season the Mall features 'Orlando Holiday Spectacular,' an hour-long extravaganza that will be televised live. Beneath a brightly lit, four-story Christmas tree (boasting 30,000 lights), the holiday show will feature Central Florida-based performers like pop trio Triple Image; cast members from Orlando Ballet, who will perform excerpts from 'The Nutcracker'; jazz and blues singer Jacqueline Jones; Bluegrass sensations Jessy and Melissa Rae; Orlando Kids On Stage, an energetic choir featuring 25 gifted 4th-8th graders; and The Caroling Company, an ensemble of Dickens-era costumed carolers. The finale is the arrival of Jolly Old St. Nick.
From mid-November through early January, the new mall is festively adorned, featuring a garden wonderland theme with 'Santa's Winter Pavilion,' where kids can share their wish list. Santa departs promptly at 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
