We are arriving on Wednesday and travelling to Lindfields off 192 with the hire car. I have read various posts on this forum about using the north/south airport exits and the manned/unmanned tolls and the possible problems there might be. Not knowing the area but looking at a map it would appear that using the south exit and then crossing the 417 and on to the Boggy Creek Road (530) and following it down until it meets 192 would be an alternative. I have not seen anyone suggest this so there is probably something I am missing. Can anyone help?

The best way would be south from the airport to the 417. I do not think Boggy Creek Road would be good - the 417 is usually
very quiet and a great way to accustom yourself to driving in the US.

A couple of years ago, I dropped my husband back at the airport and stays a couple of days longer to sort out furnishing etc, I took the wrong road back to get on the 192 and ended up on Boggy Creek Road. It was a long night, ended up driving for 3 hours. It is a very narrow road only one lane each way and absolutley nothing on it, there was no turning off at all, once your on that road, there is no u turn point or anything, After about 2 hours I found a patch which was a little wider and did do a u turn, and headed back

I would strongly suggest 417

That's right. For a start, SOUTH EXIT is better and so follow those signs. This gets you onto the SOUTH ACCESS ROAD, on which you go south for a few miles. The meeting with SR417 is a bit tricky for new drivers cos the SR417 SOUTH (which you need) is actually a right turn off the road you are going and easy to miss if you are not alert. (If you carry on straight instead, you'll end up going on SR417 NORTH, away from Kissimmee & WDW. But no big deal, if it does happen, there are plenty of U-turn opportunities). Once you get onto SR417 South, the rest is a piece of cake - you only have to have change for the tolls. Getting off SR417 at its Exit 2 leads you into Celebration Avenue and the first major left turn into US192 West going towards WDW, the Villas etc. Bingo!

Hi Jenni,

Having Just come back from Orlando I would strongly recommend the 417 as the easiest route to Lindfields. You will need $2.50 for the tolls, the first 2 are manned and cost a dollar each the last one as you exit the 417 at Celebration is unmanned and costs 50 cents. As you need the correct change for the last toll just make sure to ask at one of the manned tolls for change if you haven't got any already (they will not take anything larger than a $20 bill). It should take you around 30 minutes to Lindfields. Have a great holiday.

This is my route to Crescent Lakes and it's useful as it goes past several supermarkets so you can stock up on supplies on the way. So from Sanford, you'd join the instructions here

Follow signs to 528 WEST (Beeline Expressway) showing ORLANDO & TAMPA
IGNORE SIGNS TO KISSIMMEE VIA 417 SOUTH (GREENWAY)

Take 528 WEST through 2 toll plazas to the JOHN YOUNG PARKWAY EXIT
NB Please ensure that you have change or small dollar notes for tolls which are currently 50 & 75 cents

Turn left onto JOHN YOUNG PARKWAY is also known as BERMUDA AVENUE

Continue through the intersection of Highway 192 (VINE STREET), past Albertson's Supermarket, which is on the right

After several traffic light junctions, you will cross over a railway bridge

Continue to the next traffic light junction with Pleasant Hill Road (Eckerd and Walgreens pharmacies/drug stores are on the left corners) and go STRAIGHT

At the next traffic light junction - there are two garages/gas stations on the RIGHT corners and one is the 7-eleven

TURN LEFT into South Poiniciana Boulevard (signposted POINCIANA)

Continue on South Poinciana Boulevard (past MacLane Suneast, Poinciana High School and Reedy Creek Elementary School all on your RIGHT)

A short distance after Reedy Creek Elementary School, you'll see the entrance to CRESCENT LAKES on your RIGHT

Turn RIGHT into CRESCENT LAKES

Blottie that is the same route we take when going to Crescent Lakes from Orlando Airport, very straight forward and an easy route to take. Just one change Bermuda Avenue was changed a couple of years ago and is now known as South John Young Parkway.
