Hi All,
How much will the tolls be between Orlando International Airport and Kissimmee?
Also, are these tolls manned? If not, do they take coins or notes?
Thanks for your input.
Ann

If you are going on the 417, it is a dollar for each of the first 2 (manned) and 50cents for the last one (unmanned)

The expresswayauthority website has a toll calculator for the toll roads in the area.

You just put in the exits you join and leave at and it tells you how much.

as a guide, Sanford to Celebration is $4.50

The toll booths are manned, but there are 3 different lanes

Exact Change where you just chuck it in a bucket
E-Pass where you have a prepaid bar code on your car
Change where the person gives you change.

There are times where supposedly manned toll booths might be unmanned. If they do not have a 'throw-in' basket, there is nothing you can do but drive on. The camera will note the violation, as happened to us. But we noted the time and place and as soon as we reached the villa, phoned a number given by the caretakers. The authorities were reassuring, but still noted the details.

It would not hurt to have about $4 worth of change in quarters when one goes from MCO to wards the villa communities along US192/27.

you wouldn't have that number would you Nostromo-it might be useful. Once an unmanned toll was jammed and we had to drive on.

Or 75 cents if you throw the first 25 cents on the floor like I did[msnsad] Couldn't aim properly with my left hand and didn't dare get out of the car as I had a line behind me!![msneek]<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by Newhomebuyer

I am sure that you are not the first to do that!!

I often wondered who's all the 1/4's were on the floor!
Now I know!

Unfortunately no. I was in bit of a state when we arrived at the villa, knowing that the police camera had clicked on me. But the Caretaker lady soon reassured me and gave me the relevant number to call. That was that.

so who would we contact then if we are naughty and have to go through for whatever reason? and would we be likely to get into any bother?

I'd not worry that much....that is always happening to us......the one I hate is when the money goes into the basket.....but does not show that it has...we put in an extra 50 cents once and still it only showed 75 cents paid.....

All tolls on the Greeneway(417)are manned. There are 4 or 5 on the 417 exit and entry ramps which are unmanned.
I have been told that normally you get two warnings before action is taken. In the case of visitors in rental vehicles, drivers details are obtained from the rental car company. In September the tolls from Sanford to the I-4 cost $7.
I think there are 2 tolls on the Beeline from MCO to I-4.

Why don't they fit ALL rental cars with those electronic 'eyes' that taxis have for toll booths? That way, the visitors do not have to bother paying toll each time they go through. Later, the rental company can obtain a record of the toll owed by a hirer when he/she returns the car and then charge the Card on record?
