It's Christmas

Wandered into MGM tonight and lo and behold Christmas has started before Thanksgiving this year (I suppose a longer Chrimbo season means the chance to make more money to the Mouse [:P]).

Not only were the decorations up and the carols playing but the Osborne lights were pretty much all up. This is the first time we have seen them and all I can say is 'WOW'. How one family had all those lights god only knows, the whole neighbourhood must have needed it's own power station. Anyhoo, no tripod so slightly wobbly pics but to give you all a taste :

Its the holiday season Brizzle........some people put up their lights just before thanksgiving.....which is a bigger holiday than Christmas itself........
We have neighbours with Christmas lights up already..........for their thanksgiving get together..........

Ah I know but I thought traditionally Disney 'turn Christmas on' in their parks the day after Thanksgiving hence the wonderful surprise tonight.

i hope the lights are all on when we arrive at the weekend as when we were there a couple of years ago all the preparations were in place but nothing lit until after thanksgiving.

We were fortunate enough to catch the lights on Monday of this week. Like Briz, it was purely by chance, and although not everything is in place, it still looks as spectacular as we remember it when it used to be on the backlot tour route where the new stunt show attraction is being constructed.

Great photos - I wonder if the mouse was testing the lights - was the snow on and were they handing out the special glasses?
