Does anyone no what qualifications or registers you have to be on to be a child minder or Nursery Nurse in Florida ?
Whats the pay like ?
Are English Qualifications acceptable ?
I have no personal knowledge of child minding but in general UK qualifications arnt acceptable or are accepted with some difficulty. Nursing for example you need a conversion coutse for, likewise radiography. A friend who is a qualfied masseuse in the UK just had to start re-training again doing all the stuff she previously did in UK college because she couldnt convince anyone that she was qualified sufficient to obtain a license to work here. They dont make this easy,,,,,,
As a child minder I would seriously be worried about liability issues in this litigation orientated country. Decent ( and expensive) insurance needed there.
