Hi John

Can you help again please.

We have always booked with alamo for car hire as they have done the upgraded 4x4 Chevy Tahoo which is much bigger than the standard 4x4. Tried to book it again in the summer, but told they only do the standard 4x4. We used Dollar with you a couple of weeks ago and booked a convertible BRILLANT.[msnwink] but when we go again at Christmas will need 4x4 to be able to buy extra for home etc. Do you know if Dollar do the Tahoo or something similar.

Just a suggestion Ceri but what about a 7 seater?, you can remove (at least) the last row of seats and it gives it a huge carry space :)

Tried it. Its like driving a transit back home. Don't like to bonnet and the dash it drops to steeply like on the Passenger carriers here. I am only 5.2 and it is really hard to see behind

Ceri,

I hired a convertible back in September when I was over and when I got there they didn't have any!!!

After waiting for nearly an hour I gave up and told them to give me anything that they had and ended up with a Dodge Dorango (I think thats how its spelt, but definitly sounds like that!!

It was pretty big for a 4x4, but then having never driven one before (either here or in the US), I guess I wouldn't know if it was bigger than normal or not!!

Dollar's website lists three different sizes of SUV's that they do, the largest being the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.

Here is a link to Jeep's website:

Ceri, we used John to hire from Dollar. We booked a 4x4 and it was massive. It was a Mitsubishi Endeveor. We got 4 TV's, a computer, a home cinema system and 2 trolleys of stuff from Walmart in it with no problems. We have ordered another one for Xmas.

Without having to drop the rear seats we got 4 large cases and 2 travel cases in the boot easily.

Hope this helps :)
