I was under the impression that as long as 'theoretically competitive' links were not posted on the open forum, members were allowed to DM links to each other. Has something changed on this? I tried to DM a driving link to Susangrah about an hour ago and it looked like it had been edited to nothingness when I checked my own outbox. How come?

If a word is in the forum zapper then the forum software will automatically edit it if it is a normal post or a DM post. I can assure you that we do not manually edit DM's as we just do not have the time, let alone the inclination.
If it's the site I am thinking of then they have links to other villas. We had a bout of people posting the link to this site a while ago so it was more expedient to put the sitee in the zapper than to have mods edit the links as they spotted them.
