Just checked the KSC website and seen that there is a launch sheduled for 30th December. Unfortunately this is the day that we have booked our Candlelight Processional dining package for. I am just wondering if it would be worth moving the dining package to go to the launch.

Any thoughts,

Thanks,

MTP

More often than not the launches dont happen when planned! but I would change your Date just in case.

Also, are not KSC launches often in the wee hours of the morning? For example, if this launch is scheduled for 3am on the 30th Dec, it really means the night of 29th-30th doesn't it? So, would you be able to go to KSC on the 29th evening, stay overnight to see the launch, then get back to Orlando for some hours rest before your Candlelight Dinner Package? Worth checking.

We went to see a launch in Aug and stayed overnight, we duly got up and went to KSC and waited, got all the way out to the launch site had a great view of the launch- count down began and with only two mins to go - cancelled!! no refund as we were out on the launch site. So back to the hotel we went, the next day at KSC they did not know if it would go again so not wanting to risk another night we drove back down the coast and back to villa, we got up in the ealy hours of the morning (2) and watched from our villa, not as close as we were but at least we saw it!!

It must have been Fantastic!!

We had one cancelled on us due to bad weather!!

Gutting is the only way I can described how we felt.
But still love going to KSC

Fantastic day out, hopefully we will get to see one launch in the next year or so! [lucky][lucky][lucky][lucky][lucky][lucky][lucky]

I'm sure you will be!!
He could always have you frozen if the need arises!!

Fingers crossed it will not be needed!!

The launch is in the afternoon, but thinking about it I think it would be too dissapointing for the kids to get over there and wait for the launch only to have it cancelled. Will maybe give it a miss until they are a wee bit older and could understand better that it might not happen.

Thats great!!

Space Explotation is an amazing thing!!

He will remember it for the rest of his life!!

When we last visited, I was like a big kid trying to see as much as possible and having to be dragged away from each part as we needed to carrying on!!

Not enough hours in the day sometimes!![lucky][lucky][lucky][lucky][lucky][lucky]
