Last one for today - I'm shattered!!!

Day 5
Well, off to good old MK today....... Travelled over on the boat, only ever been by train before, and it made a nice change. It was a beautiful day, glorious weather, but we all felt a little disappointed, it just didn't have the same atmosphere as the last time we visited. We last went in 2002, and with all the celebrations there, the armosphere was electric, and there was so much going on, this time, it seemed a little subdued. We do have older kids too (17, 14 & 11), so they tend to look for the thrills now rather than the fantasy. Perhaps we should have bought Universal passes rather than the Disney ones........... Not to be deterred though, we made sure that we enjoyed every min of our visit. Passed through every land, and went on anything that moved! We watched a magic show, and I loved the new hedge art form of Stitch - see pics! We lunched at the huge restaurant in Frontierland, AFTER the rides! OK, so they may not be the biggest rides in Orlando, but no rides are good on a full stomach! Food was basic, but hot and filling... We were going to shuttle over to Epcot for Illuminations, but as we had arrived early at MK, we decided that we had too much time to kill, so we went to Belz instead, with the idea of going back to Epcot later! MISTAKE! Belz was busy, so by the time we had visited all the malls, we were too tired to do any more. Hunger prevented sleep, but a quick call to the pizza parlour on the complex soon bought a hot meat feast pizza, and a bottle of coke. It was enough to satisfy our pangs, and all for $10.95! Went to bed full but happy!

Temperature has been in the high 80's low 90's every day so far, and humidity is quite high too, so this adds to the tiring effect, not complaining though, better than home!

PS Feet are still very red and sore from Typhoon Lagoon........

Day 6
Planned as another rest day - Are we getting old or what??? Spent the day around the Olympic sized pool at Orange Lakes. (water again, YUK!) and played a lunchtime game of Bingo! The Americans do play a strange game I must say, well, strange to the way we play it, probably not to them! Didn't win though.. Spent most of the game trying to keep my feet and legs out of the sun, mainly covered by a towel! Our friends decided to see the Arabian Nights show, but we didn't fancy it, so we went back to Cypress Pointe for a shower and freshen up before heading to Downtown Disney for the night. It was the usual hustle and bustle there, and we waited quite a while to get into Planet Hollywood for dinner. Meal wasn't a good as usual. Hubby wasn't too hungry, so he opted for a beef sandwich. He wasn't keen, as they use almost raw beef..... My steak was OK, and the kids enjoyed their meals, especially the milkshakes! As my son had wanted to eat there on his birthday this year, but couldn't as we would be going to the Keys that day, I asked them to play Thriller by Michael Jackson for his birthday - he was 'Thrilled' he loves the video, and they played it in full! He also got a cake! We raided the huge Disney shop, and got lost in there, as usual! Bought lots of trinkets, pens etc as gifts for the kids friends, and a fridge magnet for us! We also bought a Mickey nodding head baseball player, we wanted one last time, but ran out of money, so pleased that they are still there. We got back to the condo reasonably early, as we are off to Busch Gardens tomorrow, and need to be up early!
