Day 3
Finally - The day we can go back to MGM and the Tower of Terror!! I have desperately wanted to go on this ride since I first saw it on the Holiday programme many years ago, but fate was not on our side the first time we went to Florida - We had just left the Rock N roller coaster, when a violent thunderstorm hit, and it lasted all day and night - the ride was closed, and we didn't have time to go back before we left! 2 years later, and I enter the park, to sunny skies, and rocket towards ToT........ The queue was relatively short, only a 5 min wait, and I am so excited! Hubby won't go on these rides, so he had the bags, along with my friend, and I accompanied her husband, cousin and our assorted kids to the lift doors........ 9 of us eagerly awaiting the opening........ We surged forward, into our respective seats, only myself and my 3 kids were ToT virgins, so we were warned about the lack of good holding on devices....... Did we care?? NO WAY! I must admit, I had no idea that this was an actual ride, I just thought that the lift went up and down and that was it, so I was a bit shocked to be slowly propelled forward, but the theatrics were very well done, and soon we were rising and falling, just as I had been told - Fab ride, worth the 2 year wait - in fact the kids went on to do this and the Rock n Roller Coaster another 5 times each! Unfortunately my motion sickness stopped me going on again, but I will be back! We continued touring MGM, taking in The Muppets, Backstage, and Indiana Jones, all great as usual... Kids kept popping back and forth to ToT and RnR as above, but we finally waited until the end of the day to see Fantasmic. We sat down about an hour before the show, and were amazed at how busy it was already - well we soon found out why! We missed this last time due to the storm, and I certainly would have sat through it again had I seen it before - What a show! Very clever, and great effects - recommended to all!

Day 4
SHOPPING!!! Went to the premium outlet mall just off the I4. Great shops here, and well laid out, although it is an outdoor mall, so it did get very hot!! Raided Ralph Lauren, Nike, Adidas, Guess etc etc. For the first time ever, I was unable to find any trainers that I liked enough to buy! Unheard of! I seem to prefer the styles that are in the UK. My son also had a lot of difficulty in finding both trainers and football (soccer) boots. The boots were mainly for sale in the womens section, as it is a far more high profile sport for women in the US that it is for men. Obviously my son wouldn't even consider any boots that were with womens trainers, so he was disappointed. We knew that more shopping would be needed before we went home. We were all hungry when we had finished shopping, so we went to the food outlet at the mall. Had a buffet Chinese - what a great meal for the money - would highly recommend the Borbon Chicken and Orange Chicken. Great value! Back to the condo for more R&R. Kids and hubby went to the pool, and I relaxed in the jacuzzi in the bathroom - Bliss! Soothed my aching feet! We let the kids choose the dinner venue for tonight, so back to Sizzlers (only walking distance away from us) and another enjoyable meal for the money. Sleep came easily that night!

Some more pics, saved a bit bigger this time!

Great photos Linda. I love ToT but my favourite ride at MGM is the great movie ride. I love the end bit when all the film clips come up and you try to remember where they are from:D:D

Have to agree that pt's a great ride, but we didn't do it this time, I think the crowds had built up a bit by then, and the queue was quite large................. I would have liked to have gone on though! Maybe next time, roll on 3 years........ [msncry]
