Can anyone tell me if there is a Home Depot or any other home diy shop near to us27/192 as we are looking for the small safe that the villa we stayed in this summer had for keeping the spare key in? It had a number which we had to punch into the small keypad to open up the box and measured about 6inches by 2inches. It was screwed onto the wall just at the front door. We think it is a really good idea for keeping a spare house key in for my daughter who always loses her spare key but havent seen any in this country. [laugh]

Have a look on Viking Direct or at your nearest Makro store.

Thanks for the help - Viking only have big safes for lots of keys unfortunately so we will probably try one of the Home Depot stores you gave us Ray and Sarah. If any of the villa owners know where to get a small key safe, their help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

I bought 2 on my last visit from Home Depot about $30 each, they fix to the wall and you enter a 4 digit code it is big enough for 1 key. I bought mine from the home depot in clermont

The link I posted is for a small electronic safe with no keys, copy and paste the entire link and it should show you it.

If you can't get it to work just go to the Viking site and do a search for product code Q2H-P180

One thing to consider is if you're buying it here in the UK the voltage will of course be wrong, I don't know if they are multi-voltage.

Just got it to work, before it was saying that the site was too busy for any more visitors. The box the link goes to is exactly like the one we have outside our villa.[msnsmile2]

They had these on sale at our local B&Q a couple of months ago.
Cheaper than the one i bought in home depot [msnmad], i think they were £9.99.

£20 pounds in our local B&Q Mega store. Easy to use even for teenagers who have had too much ginger beer.

We bought one from Lowes in May. cost $30 and even if it is forced off the wall it is virtually impossible to open. It only about 6" x 6" but it weighs a ton.
