Has anyone any recommendations for pubs/bars in the Orlando area where you can have a drink, perhaps with some entertainment, without having to pay an entrance fee.

Try the Stage Door near the far western end of 192 in Kissimmee ( just before the junction with 27) British run, good food and Karaoke ( if you class this entertainment!)

Theres a nice place on I drive called Front Row. Its a resturaunt and bar with tons of tvs all over the place. Music and games also for the kids. They also have trivia which you can play also for free against other people who are their.
Theres a few English pubs on 192 but i cant think of their names.

There are a number of British pubs around the Kissimmee area abd thereabouts. One mentioned is Stage Door on 192 near the 27. Also there is Scotch Corner which is also on the 192 on the left just up from Medieval nights on other side. The landlady Janey is a great host and Rob the barman is great fun and also excellent at kareoke. They also show the football. London Bridge also on 192.Others are London Bridge also on 192. Fox & Hound Pub, 3514 W. Vine St., The Rovers Return near John Young Parkway.

Bahama Breeze (on SR535) has an outdoor area with a bar and "live" music (Caribbean). It's a really nice atmosphere and I assume it's possible to use the bar if you're not actually eating there??? Because it tends to get quieter after the main dining rush, it may be an early/mid evening thing rather than a late-nighter (not sure though, as we were eating).

Alternatively, one of our favourite bar "haunts" is in Old Town Kissimmee. It's a good place to go to on Saturday night (for the car "Cruise") with a great atmosphere at Old Town in general. I think they sometimes have karaoke at the bar, but there's also usually a live band at the Main Stage (check out http://www.old-town.com/carshows.htm).

I've heard or read somewhere that there is a new bar being opened on Hwy27 near to the communities at the 192 end.

Can't remeber where I saw it, only that it is going to be a theme bar of some kind[:p]

Along the same lines, does anyone know of a 'party bus' service that will take people to the different popular bars/nightclubs in the Orlando area?

Hi

I need to watch a Football(soccer) match on Sunday 14th March. I have been told that it will be showing in the Fox & Hound in Kissimmee.

The problem I have is that the game kicks off at 10am - does anyone know what time the Fox & Hound opens at ?

Thanks

Alex

GameTime Sports Bar & Grill is located in Church Street Station (adjoined to the Improv Comedy Club--where Rosie O'grady's used to be) 127 W. Church Street near the corner of Church Street and Garland Ave. GameTime is open at 4pm Tuesday - Sunday. Music and/or Live bands (but not one of the CROWDED college hang outs). There are 4 100" big screen Tv's, along with three other TV's throughout the place, pool tables, Games, etc.

Never a cover charge to enter.

GameTime opens at 4pm, however, if there are games to be watched wich start earlier, they open earlier than that on the weekend.

I stayed at Loma Vista last year which is near the Champions Gate.
Unfortunately there are no pubs nearby and you will have to either drive to the 192 and go to somewhere like Scotch Corner, Fox and Hounds or Victoria Inn.
Alternatively, The Cricketers at the Mercado on International Drive always have the football on, but again it is quite a drive.
The pubs that show the football will usually charge you $10 to get in and watch because the channels that show it are usually pay per view.
It just depends on the game really, i paid $10 to watch the FA cup final at the Victoria Inn and also $10 to watch England play.

At The Cricketers i did not pay to watch a Premiership game as it was shown on Fox, but had to pay $10 to watch an FA cup tie.

The Champions Gate area is handy for the I-4 for Disney, but is a bit remote as far as restaurants and evening entertainment is concerned.

TGI Fridays on the 192 at Formosa Drive has a separate bar area which gets a lot of local american custom. It gets pretty lively and entertaining if you're into people watching and like propping up the bar. Karaoke night is not to be missed with so many american would-be stars providing the entertainment - it gets real serious with may bringing their own CDs to sing along to. Some are amazing!!!
