Heres a question that has puzzled me for some time.

Why is it that when something goes wrong on a holiday bought from a travel agent you are expected to sort it out yourself?

We own a retail business and if something is faulty we replace it and then go back to the supplier. We would not dream of asking the customer to deak with it.

Anyone know the answer?

Can you be more specific? Obviously, if it is related to the booking eg your names missing from the flight manifest or hotel booking, then yes, the Travel Agent has the responsibility. But if it is something that happened ouside their remit eg lost luggage, then you have to sort it out via insurance or whatever.

A travel agent will sell you a holiday from a company, they are the ones who need to sort out the problems, not the travel agent.
