Hi guys
After the initial excitement of booking our trip to Florida we are now in the realisation that its less than 4 weeks away!!!
The trip is for our honeymoon so just a few questions to kick off before I start posting every 5 minutes [clap]
1. Obviously we will be buying tickets for the theme parks from this site but which would be the best to go for?
The parks we want to visit are :-
MGM Studios
Seaworld
Busch Gardens
Universal Studios &
IOA
2. We are staying in Sleep Inn Maingate on the 192- Does anybody have any experience of this hotel/area and any good eateries nearby?
3. Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant but not where shirt/tie etc is needed for a romantic meal?
4. The carhire through our travel agent cost around £270 inc insurances - does this seem a reasonable price(i think it includes LDW) - will we be hit for any hidden extra's?
Sorry for the long post but I have so many questions and put the trip to the back of my mind due to the wedding etc[msnsmile2]
Matt
On question:
3- The New England Tavern in Celebration; Bahama Breeze; Wolfgang Pucks. You will probably find that most restaurants are happy with casual dress.
4- Compare to the online quote available from the link on this site (www.floridahire.com), they are very competitive - even to fly drive packages where you just pay for the insurance (honest[msneek]).

Matt, have a nice time and next time dont use a travel agent but put a package together yourself(you could do it all from this forum)
That way you get the best of everything at the best price.
Hopefully you have not bought your travel insurance from the travel agent as that represents the worst value.

If you want to visit SeaWorld, Universal, IOA and Busch Gardens then the 5 Park Orlando Flexticket is the one to go for. This allows you 14 days access to these parks. It is great value.
If you like seafood I would always recommend Fultons Crab House at Downtown Disney for a really nice meal.
Have a great trip Matt.

I was definitely going to suggest the Orlando 5 Park Flex ticket, but Steve beat me to it.
Excellent value :) (especially from this site)
Personally I would also add a Disney Hopper ticket too.
Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding ~ we hope you have a magical day and a wonderful honeymoon in Florida.

I would look in Celebration for a restaurant, there some good ones to choose from; you'll most certainly like the ambience.
Celebration is also really nice to stroll around before/after a meal.
Hi Matt
Congratulations, and have a wonderful honeymoon - the next few weeks will go in a flash!
If you are not sure whether your car hire includes all insurances necessary then check with the info below which comes from the link at the top of the forum. CWD is just the basic insurance which you will need, there are others, such as UMP (uninsured motorist protection - many drivers in the US are not insured so this is essential!)which we would not wish to drive without.
'The gold package also includes extra drivers and a free tank of petrol.
Rental with unlimited mileage
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) up to $1M cover
Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP)
All taxes and airport fees
All additional drivers over 25 (Dollar)
Initial tank of gas
All our car hire is fully inclusive - you have nothing to pay on arrival.'
On this site, £250 would get you a 4 door economy for £250 and this is guaranteed to be all that you have to pay - no hidden extras.
As so many others have already said, its difficult to find a better deal for car hire!
Hope you have a brilliant time in Orlando, am sure you will be as 'hooked' as the rest of us are, and that you will return again and again.

WOW - thanks for all the replies
TP - thanks for the restaurant info - sounds perfect!!!!
heathercobbett - We certainly will be booking everything through this ite next time(which hopefully wont be long)[msnsmile2]
steveharrison - this looks like the ticket to go for - just a shame about "wet'n'wild" due to my severe water dislike[msneek]
LiesaAnna - thankyou - we can't wait :-)
SunLover - thanks for the reply - I went in 1991 and just felt that Disney just did'nt have enough to offer for me
ellie - Thanks for the info - I think our deal is o.k - Just dont want to get to the car hire and find 4 million ££££ in extra's!!!
Next question!!!
I have just looked on www.aa.com and it seems all seats have been booked where we would like to sit i.e the plane is 2-5-2 and all seats on the "2's" have been reserved!!!
is there anyway around this?
Once again, thanks for all the answers and cheery messages[grouphug]
Check out row 40 CDFG using www.seatguru.com. Either that or choose two seats together and turn up early for check-in and enquire about exit-row seats especially as you are travelling to get married.
Don't forget to mention your off to get married when you check-in....could easily turn you into business class passengers....[msnwink]
Matt
Hope you get seats together, am sure they will help if you tell them at check-in about the honeymoon - fingers crossed for an upgrade!
Hope everything goes brilliantly!
Best wishes to you both.
