Last time we was over we spent an evening at the local Rodeo, it was really good fun and its great for the kids, you can get fast food and drinks and unfortunately novelty toys for the kids.
We will definately go again in april.
Its on Friday evenings and is located around the back of Kissimmee airport, there is a signpost on the 192 on the Friday.

Hi Mark & Emma

That's the one on Hoagland Blvd just down the road from the Flying Tigers museum at Kissimmee airport I think?

Hi Emma

I'll have to work on Sarah as she is not too keen on going but it is something I have always wanted to see, ever since the days of my youth watching Dallas avidly on TV .

Hi John

Its really good actually, I didn't know if I would enjoy it but I did and Robert loved it, we had to buy him his own cowboy hat (never to be worn again as usual). Its very basic but I didn't feel that the animals were mistreated.
We will most probably go again in April, hopefully this time will be warmer, last year we went in January and it was freezing!!

Hi Mark & Emma

Its funny how you get to hear about things like this. I mentioned this to our friends who live in Kissimmee and they had never heard of it. We will have to have a drive out there one Friday night. Is it on every Friday?

As far as I know it's every Friday at 8pm.

If you like the Rodeo then the one to see is the bi-annual Silver Spurs Rodeo held in February and October down the 192 close to the Turnpike. We have been several times now, and every time has been fantastic.

Hi John,

You go down the Highway 192 over the railway line heading towards St Cloud. It is on the left hand side of the road about a mile before the turn off for the Florida Turnpike. When the Rodeo is taking place you can't miss it. The police are there directing the traffic, flags are flying, there is a funfair and hundreds of cars parked in a field. It is usually held on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Hi Therese

That small stadium area on the left in a quite rural area before you get to St Cloud?

Yes that's the one. The stadium is a lot bigger than you think. Tickets can be bought in advance from their box office on site, or on the day, and are very reasonably priced. (Can't remember the exact entrance fee but I know that it doesn't leave a hole in your pocket.) Parking is free.

I've always wanted a go on one of those mechanical bulls. Do they have anything like that at this local rodeo?

Not that we've seen porky! They all looked pretty real and mean to me. Still, you could always volunteer for a real one!

I think I'll pass on that one thank you I don't think they make nappies big enough for me to wear - I'd need it for the padding not for anything else.
