Yes it is - it's just one of our other sites and is a seperate site in it's own right but provides the same car hire.

We prebooked and paid in advance for a convertable at Orlando Airport for our last visit(sept) with Alamo car hire.We got to the airport in time and after customs and baggage we went to the Alamo desk only to find a giant que.We waited and an hour later we got to the desk ,presented our voucher and was told to go to level 2 ,pick the convertable we wanted ,any colour and drive away giving the paperwork to the office on the way out .We went to the convertable line and chose the colour we wanted ,INVISIBLE.Not one convertable in sight .Question ,where was my car?answer .It will be here in 10 mins Sir.

You can take any van that is in the lines if you wish to do so SIR(more bullsh**).
I do not want a van was my reply ,I have no kids with me ,just the 2 of us and I want a convertable was my reply in now a different tone to the Hispanic guy who now saw I meant business.I got sick of the excuses and being called sir .I demanded the absolute top of the range car or the convertable or else .Now he could do as I asked or give me the car I ordered .Hey Preso 2 hours after we got on the car park 2nd floor a convertable arrived .No probs now I get in it and drive to my villa ,the arrival time being about 5 am equivilent in the morning .Alamo you let yourselves down bad and never again .I hope this forum does not have the same problem with them as I did .I am in the process of e mailing Alamo to tell them NEVER again with them .

Haven't I read this story on another thread. I know you are obviously not happy with Alamo but we do not need the story repeating on every car hire thread on here [msnwink]

On the other thread a lot of other people were saying what a great experience they had had with Alamo so it looks like you were very unlucky.

Hope that this was a one off.
we have used alamo twice this year and on both occassions i have to say we were happy with the service.
I do like the idea of being able to choose what car you want. My 5 year likes this as he looks for most sporty type of car but it has to be red (His favourite colour). The only draw back with alamo is that they still give out old maps with directions to their old site off the airport. The first time we followed the directions missed the turn off to the drop off zone and we ended up near to the cargo loading area. Didn't fall for it the second time but the map had the same directions on it.
Took us 15 minutes to queue last time and the first time at Easter we walked to the front of the queue.

For the past (many) years, we have always used Alamo, when in the US.

We cannot fault them, and believe me, we try hard to find fault. The only minor blemish was recently when Jane got some grease on her trousers, from one of their courtesy bus doors.

We saw the manager, and received a hefty discount on the car hire, and a full refund on our valuation of the trousers.

She would have preferred not to have had her trousers ruined, but excellent customer service in compensating the full value, and then some.

I am certainly not about to 'knock' any other car hire company ... all I do know is that (in our opinion) Alamo is right up there, with the best.

Alamo has always come up trumps for us, all over the US not just in Orlando. We usually book direct with Alamo or thro'another company but having seen John and Rogers prices it will be Uscarhire from now on their prices are extremely competitive [clap][clap][clap][clap]
