we are going out for Christmas - Have you got any suggestion for dinner shows that would suit an age range from 3 to 60 plus?

It would be good to know what Sleuth's Dinner show is like.
We are thinking of trying this when we go in Feb!!
I`ve heard that Dolly Parton`s Dixie Spampede is good there is a web-site for it some where, I think we are going to give it a go in January

[/quote]It's a good dinner show but not very suitable for the very young ones who may well get bored. You get to see a play (with audience participation and a lot of humour) and then have to solve the crime - get it right for a prize.
Food is a bit better than some dinner shows but avoid the pasta if you can and pay the extra $3 for the prime rib as it's good (so is the Cornish game hen).
It's a good night out which we enjoyed.

Would like to try the Sleuth show myself. Glad to hear the food is good. We have only ever done Arabian Nights--great show, mediocre food.
Have to agree with Blott on Sleuths. We enjoyed it a lot. The one thing to remember with all of the dinner shows is that the entertainment comes first, the food is not the reason to go!
We always go to Al Capones. We have been 7 times in 10 years! The show is great fun, lots of audience participation but the food is pretty awful. best thing though is it is cheaper than most of the others. You can usually pick up a voucher for $20-25 admission. It is not far from the Walmart on 192 heading East. Medieval Times is good too, again the food is bad. The prices seem to have increased at the bigger ones (pirates, dixie stampede, arabian nights, Med Times) with most only offering $2-$3 discounts. I nearly fell asleep during Arabian nights, not too impressed by horses.

Wonder Works at Pointe Orlando do something called "The Outta Control Magic Show", which is a dinner show aimed at the family - kids in particular. I have not been there, but it sounds like a fun show and the food cannot be any worse than most Dinner Shows. There is also the added bonus of the visit to Wonder Works itself before or after the show. Worth checking out.
We did Dixie's last month .You have to throw yourself into the show and be prepared to whoop and holler but its good fun.As with most places they try to get ypur wallet open at every opportunity but other than that its not too bad .The food was ok too.Whole small chicken, slices of pork ,potato wedges, soup, biscuit and a pudding -beer or soft drinks . Good fun .
We did this option last year & everyone from 6 to 76 loved it: Try going out in Downtown Disney for a meal (lots to choose from) then onto the La Nouba show by Cirque du Soleil. Not a cheap option but the kids are still talking about this fabulous show!! Also you get to choose a better meal if you like or just a burger- up to you[clap]

We are going to give Sleuths a try whilst in Orlando later this month. Good to know that it comes recommended and that the food isn't bad.[msnsmile2]

Got to agree with daxon. This year we did Cirque de Soleil followed by Planet Hollywood. A great night out.
The Christmas special show at Dixie Stampede is great fun and manages to have a real Christmas feel to it. Food not great but better than most. [drinkpepsi]

Thanks everyone for your helpful tips and suggestions. As there are 14 of us going I think a "Florida Summit" is in order....(A 'Florida Summit' is a family term we use as an excuse to get together to talk about the forthcoming holiday, as if we need any excuses .... we are now on about Summit number six!!!!!!)
