With the new forum software we now have, linking to an image to use as an Avatar is much simpler:
1. Find an avatar you want to use
Please make sure your avatar is no bigger than 100 by 100 pixels otherwise it will not display. Find a suitable avatar you wish to use and save it to your desktop.
2. Upload the Avatar image to the forums
Click on Reply on any thread. Click 'Insert File Attarchment' (just above the part where you type your reply) Follow the instructions to upload a file to the forums. When it returns to the box you type your message in, you'll see a link to your newly uploaded avatar. Make a note the full URL to it, including the http:// e.g. http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/Data/your_username/avatar.gif.
3. Add the new Avatar to your Profile
When logged into the OV forums, click on Profile at the top of any screen. In the Avatar URL enter the full path as determined in the first step above. Click on Preview Avatar to see what your new avatar will look like in the forums. Once you are happy with it, click Submit at the bottom of the screen.
