Was on the Florida Mall website trying to find out when the two new stores open when I chanced by an article on there on Fall fashion Floridian style which made me giggle. Apparently, brown is the new black for Fall ( there is a lot of it around here too) accented with deep Hunter Green. It is suggested that to compliment these colours, the leg be darkened by wearing opaque hose in brown or black ( black tights in Florida!!) and you finish off the look with a boot or heavier shoe such as the classic heel loafer.
Well now, are us Brits out there in October and November in our bright strappy sundresses, shorts, T shirts and sandals going to stick out like a sore thumb from the Floridians who by the sound of it will be dressed up like Robin Hood!! Still, I suppose they have to mark some change in the seasons, even a vaguely articifical one, as an excuse to buy new clobber. Cant wear the same old shorts all year round! I remember that when the temperature dropped into the low 60s at Xmas last year, we were all still shivering in our shorts and the Floridians looked like they were dressed for skiing!
