Awww Chris...just a month....oh come on, you can do better than that ;)

chrisj
05-09-2004, 14:47
:D hehehe what are you lot like, I think a month would be enough

On a serious note, we will be back, not next year as we have promised the kids
that they can choose where we go and they want to go on a shorter flight and
no theme parks. I think they missed mixing with other kids etc and so praps
2006, But we have seriously talked about making it a month, Even though we were
there for 3 weeks this year, we still didnt do as much as we wanted to

blott

We're off for five weeks in December so I'll let you know when I get back whether it's long enough or not! :D

Great photos Chris. A month would be great, but I'd need an expanding waist band with all that good food for four weeks!

chrisj
06-09-2004, 12:51
:D:D:D:D hadnt thought about that

And here I was thinking 3 weeks would be enough next time. But you're right chris you never seem to have enough time to do everything...gonna give it a good try though!
By the time we go again(4 years fingers crossed) the kids will be teenagers, So it will be a different holiday for them.

Don

I think the earliest we will be back would be 2006, we would like to try another time of
the year, but with wifey working in a school we were stuck to the summer months, Saying
that 2 years is a long way off and she might have changed jobs by then.

What we will have to do next time is spend the first week doing the things that we havent
managed to do, trouble is the list is quite big :)

Bigblue33

Yea we have a big list as well, MGM being right on top of it, we have to plan around school holidays as well, which I dont mind that much but when you see the difference in flight prices....at least next time we will have a sense of the place and I will have to try and not break any bones 4 days before we go next time...so please remind me not to play Basketball days before we leave. [msnembarrased]

:D:D trust you

MGM is a great park, its not too big either so you can easily see it in a day., The parade
is really good as well with all the characters

The saving grace we had was my in-laws. They had their own car and my sister-in-law was able to drive ours, for the first week, during the first week they had car trouble so we lost a day or two...so we missed out on MGM and IOA although we did manage Universal. Still, all in all, if it were not for them we would have missed out on a lot more.

IOA is a great park, we think its better than universal. We had a fantastic day there, but didnt manage it all. So thats on the list
for the next trip

I liked Universal but the day we went it was really busy and really hot so my wife and mother-in-law did not like it so much. It also seems a bit more cramped than the Disney parks, they seem more spaced out. As for IOA...that could not be helped, for reasons already stated, which is a shame, cause I really wanted to meet Spiderman!! [msnsmile2]

Great pics Chrisj, you managed to get Donald Duck in one, when we went to MK a few years ago we didn't see him at all. When we asked if he had been pensioned off we were told he wasn't used mush anymore as he isn't as popular as he used to be, Aahhhhh!

chrisj

Great pics Chrisj:)Slightly stunned the kids picked somewhere else for next year[:p]Our daughter has spent over 20 weeks in Florida(lucky girl!), and when I said we should skip the theme parks next time, it was sulk city in this house for a while[msneek]I gave in, because she is only 12, but taller than me [msncry]

chrisj

To be honest CarolAnn I think after 2 years they want to go to a spanish type holiday
where they can meet other kids etc, also gives me time to save up for the next florida
trip as well

Hi Chris. Just been admiring all your pic's from this year. Were these taken on your new camera (maybe a daft question).
Good shots though, looks like you got to most places.[msnsmile2] You'll miss it next year; paella not pizza eh? Though the laungage will be the same (if you go to Spain)[msnwink]

Hi Dave

Im not talking about cameras anymore, had a run in with the insurance company over payment :(
earlier today, seems theres one of those very small lines that means they can ge tout of paying
up.

We did most of what we wanted, have lots of things still to do on the next visit, but hey
thats Florida

As for next year we havent really decided yet where to actually go, but we have said the kids
can have a shorter flight so it has to be europe somewhere, but as long as its warm and I can
sit and read a book i dont mind

Nice pic chris;
Great holiday and a experince you wont forget either.
(huri charley)
We have been going to florida 10 years now, and we went for the first 3 years on the trot same months December.
But had no holiday for 2 years, after that. It does make you kind of home sick, though, so now we go every year. But last year we change the months to august instead of December. so we can stay longer .And i too have the same problem as well my wife is a teacher as well. But this year we thought we will have a long hoilday
This time we stayed over three weeks and it was magic and a experince which neither of us will ever forget. (huri charley )

But for next two years we wont be returning to florida , So again its going to hit us bad. But we will have lots to do though, And we know we will be going back again but from a differant country And having a hoilday in january instead of august. (cooler)[msnsmile2]

I would love to go when its a bit cooler, I love the heat but its the high humidity that
kills me, especially as a florida Holiday is a lot of walking

Where do you meet Donald Duck?

chrisj
29-09-2004, 13:02
Hi Kevin

I think it was MGM, but I will check with the kids tonight cos we took so many piccies I
get a bit confused where they were taken (my age :))

It is MGM, you can see the hand from the sorcerers hat in the background.
Another good place to meet Donald is in the Animal Kingdom down by the Camp Minnie area. He is decked out in outdoor gear not in traditional clothes.
