I have never been to Wet& Wild, is it more modestly priced than the big Disney water parks? It always looks a bit like it was erected in the car park:( Is it worth a visit?

The rides are good, but W'n'W as a whole is a bit on the tacky side compared with the tasteful landscaping of the Disney Waterparks. We have been to Wet'n'Wild twice and will not go again. But we'll go both Disney Water parks on every visit.

We did Wet and Wild and Blizzard Beach in August. We preferred WW because it was quieter and had more multi person rides. We found the way the sunbeds were laid out in BB very claustrophobic, (much too close to each other in long lines, you could only get on and off your bed by sliding up or down from the bottom/top as there was no room in between each bed to stand.) However I do agree that the landscaping at the Disney waterparks is much better than WW,but we enjoyed the slides more at WW.

Definitely Wet and Wild, took boys 7,9 and 11 absolutely loved it. Went to Typhoon Laggon, much more crowded and you cannot escape "little ones" crying. Beds too close together, not many rides and too spread out.

Wet and Wild each time

We havent done the other Water parks, but we loved Wet n Wild. The kids went off and had
fun and I found somewhere to sit and have a read. Its a small park but the rides are really
good.

We have not been for years. We always commented on the lack of shade at Wet and Wildand yes the Disney variety are all most attractive(naturally)

We have done both this year and i have to say that if you have young children then go to disney. The rides are more suited to younger kids however wet and wild does offer some water slides etc. As for entertainment i will be going back to Wet n wild again. We had a great ride and the longest we had to wait was 10 mins. We went on a Saturday and it was busy but not as busy as the Disney park on a Friday. As for it been tacky do not agree with that comment. It was clean, well laid out and the staff were friendly.Give it a go when your next over there.

I must admit to really enjoying Wet n Wild - it does look strange from the outside but once inside it really is an ideal place to let the kids go wherever the mood takes them. Last time I went my youngest wanted me to go on all the slides etc with him, but I think next time he will be old enough (and a strong enough swimmer) to go with his brother without me and I can relax a little (I can but hope). Other half does not like heights so I always get the escort job, apart from the lazy river type rides.

I adored Blizzard Beach, but when we tried to get on any of the big slides the queues were enormous and we gave up - must have been bad timing.

Wet & Wild is really good value for money, and would agree that whilst not as pleasant on the eye as the Disney ones, is fantastic for slides etc. We do both if we are there long enough. There are shady spots between the wave pool and the other side near the cafe at the back, and there is definately more room between parties. They don't have a sandy beach, but other than that I think anyone would be silly to avoid it. And it's in a great spot for splitting up the day.

Each to his or her own Maggie and I have to disagree with you, sorry. All of us found W'n'W tacky and exposed (too close to I-Drive) after the first and only visit and left in disappointment in less than 2 hours. The kids were more eager to leave than the adults and all of us could not help but compare it with Disney's excellent BB and TL. Even Watermania scores well above W'n'W in our book and none of us would waste holiday time to go there even with free entry. Sorry that I feel that way, but there it is.

Like you say Nostromo, each to their own.

It's great being spoiled for choice though isn't it?

I love all the parks, water or otherwise. Everyone has their favourites and if you get the chance I think you should experience them all to draw your own conclusions. Maybe my reference to being 'silly' got you? I just don't want anyone to not even try somewhere for themselves.

I see you've changed your avater:)

wet and wild is good, if you like the lazy rivers then disney do the best, w&w have loads of family rides and single slides, but its all open frame unlike disney where it all blends in, i will always go to w&w and it is good value with the flexi ticket. it is a good "half day park" where you can go off and do shopping or explore i drive in the afternoon

I agree with Nostromo on this one - much prefer BB or TL [8D]

We found WW very brash with loud music being blasted constantly which didn't make it very relaxing. One of our party cut their foot on some glass in the park (which I know can't be helped) but we didnt find it particularly clean either.

Must admit that the slides were better than Disneys though especially for the multi-person rides. :)

Isn't that the beauty of Orlando - lots of choice? As you can see, everyone has a different opinion, but as W & W is not the only water park you can try them all and see for yourself.

Of course, Wet and Wild does not have the landscaping that the Disney Water parks have, but our kids enjoyed the rides. I much preferred Blizzard Beach, as I was able to find a nice shady spot - W&W does not have so much of that.
I don't go on the scary bits anyway, but when floating gently down the lazy river at BB I heard a commotion behind me and was just in time to see a large snake swimming across behind me. Believe me, you have never seen me move so fast! Mind you, it wouldn't put me off going again.

So for me it has to be BB or TL, but it really depends what you are looking for.

My girls love going to W & W. I agree that it is not much to look at but they really enjoy the rides. I prefer T/L & B/B, but if they are happy then I'm happy[msncool]
