Great Britain has a population of about 60 million and is approximately the same size as the state of Michigan, which has a population of just under 10 million. It never ceases to amaze me just how small a country we are! And how big the USA is. Its long been our ambition to visit every State. After this years road trip we will be up to 10! whats your score?

Just got back from a long road trip on which we visited 20 states, but over the years we have been to all 50. The joys of retirement!

Sounds great Susan and Martin.

Roll on retirement....only 23 years to go! Would love to get to them all one day, but spent a lot of the last 20 odd years travelling in the other direction but managed to travel extensively in these 11 states:

California
Nevada
New York
New Jersey
Maine
Georgia
Mississippi
Alabhama
Tennessee
New Orleans

And of course all over Florida.

I really love to travel and have been lucky enough to live and work all over the world but sadly I haven't done too much of it recently, and with the Carolinas "nearby" plan to get the cases out again soon and hit the open road. Texas and Arizona may get a look in too once it cools down over there!...........

We have been lucky enough to visit many of the States. Texas tops the list with the number of trips as we have family there so always spent the last week of our holidays when Lawrence was growing up with them. Now we have the house in Florida this state is not far behind and will topple Texas as the most visited one day.

Texas
Florida
California
Nevada
Massachusetts
New Hampshire
Maine
District of Columbia
Virginia
Pennsylvania
Maryland
Delaware
North & South Carolina
Illinois
Utah
Montana
Idaho
Colorado
New York state

I was also fortunate to live in Virginia and Washington for 6 months after leaving college many years ago another wonderful area.

Hope one year to visit the the North West corner and go back to Portland Maine just love this area used to spend time here in October and love Wilmington North Carolina.

Only 3

Florida of course
New York
Georgia - landed at Atlanta in the middle of a storm, pitch black, but touched the ground in the terminal - well technically the flooring

The most I travel these days is between Yorkshire and Lancashire, believe me they sometimes feel like continents apart and are divided by a common language
