We were there for Easter 2003 and are going again 2004. The parks are certainly busy during Easter week but we tend to tour the parks when they open in the morning and then take a break around lunchtime for a few hours then head back in the evenings. The parks are open very late - Magic Kingdom was open to midnight all week and are much quieter later on. We found the queues manageable although you need to do the headliner rides early.
The water parks did get really busy so if you want a sunlounger it is best to arrive early. We did go a couple of afternoons and it was very very busy although I did always find a chair (the boys never sit down) and of course the pools are big enough to accommodate a huge number of people but both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon felt very crowded.
The weather is great at that time of year which is one of the best things about it. Hot all day, every day and hardly a drop of rain (it did rain a couple of evenings but it was really rather nice and we just stayed out in it - one night we were at MK and the park emptied but we stayed on and rode Space Mountain 3 times in a row so it was worth getting wet). We even had a day at the beach.
