Hi, we are going to Florida in a few weeks and were thinking on trying Thriller or the Sea Screamer at Clearwater...something a bit different!

Has anyone been on any of these boats and if so, any comments appreciated. Also, does anyone know how much it would be for a trip on Thriller?

Thanks
Karen

Hi Karen

We've been on the Sea Screamer and it was OK - we didn't get to see any dolphins, however they do offer a free trip to compensate, we couldn't take up the offer as we were only in Clearwater for the day.

The boat doesn't feel as fast as we thought it would, but then we like to jetski!

I would suggest walking around the marina at Clearwater and then making your choice, once you have seen what is on offer - there are loads of options!

You will have a great day at Clearwater and don't forget to stay for the evening 'sunset party'.

We've been on the screamer a few times and we think it's great. We have also seen dolphins on each trip.

HI KAREN. HAVE YOU TRIED TARPON SPRINGS FOR A BOAT RIDE.ITS ABOUT 30 MINS DRIVE NORTH OF CLEARWATER ON THE ALT 19. ITS NOT A SPEEDBOAT LIKE THE SCREAMER MOR LIKE A PLEASURE CRUISER BUT WHEN THEY GET OUT INTO THE GULF THEY SPEED UP AND THE DOLPHINS JUMP OUT OF THE WATER ALL AROUND THE BOAT ITS FANTASTIC. YOU ARE ONBOARD FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR 15 MINS THEY HAVE CALYPSO MUSIC PLAYING AND YOU CAN HAVE A DRINK & SNACK. ALSO TARPON ITSELF IS LOVELY TOWN ITS JUST LIKE BEING IN GREECE WE LOVE GOING THERE

If you ride from Clearwater over the bridge towards Belair Beach , Maderia and the Reddington them finaly to Treasure Island folowwing the inland waterway you can see the Dolfins coming back from Johns Pass going back to the sea ,
Over the large bridge out of clearwater on the right there is a small beach which you can park free and paddle in the water a lovely place to be .
