I presume you mean tips for saving money on your next trip to Florida. If so, have a look at all the sections of the forums, there are plenty of tips. There are specific areas for car hire, flights, theme park tickets, best days to visit attractions, places to eat, too many to mention here.
Good luck and have fun with your searches. | Mark http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida-vacation-rental-1489.aspx |

| Good to see you on this forum Maggie, welcome.
If you are going to Florida and enjoy shopping, go to Macy's (usually in a Mall) and go to their Customer Service department. Take your passport with you and they will give you a discount card for 11% which covers most things in the store and even an extra 11% of sales items that are already marked down. It is one of the first things I do and saves me loads of money.

| There are many of tips in the Florida guides but too many to remember them all but things like taking a few bottles of water to the park etc., can save a fair bit. If say there are 5 of you going to the parks for 10 days, if you take a bottle to drink and a frozen one each in a small cool bag for later, that's $20 a day saved or $200 total on park days with no extra effort execpt to buy a few botles (very cheap in Publix/Walmart) and fil them up. Yoou can reill the water containers at both Publix and Walmart for around 30c a gallon, so not only are you saving money but doing your bit for the environment as well by reusing the bottles rather than keep buying new.
Another 4 tips like this and you've saved $1000!!!
Don't be too shy to use the coupon books, always stock up when you go to the supermarkets (usually by the door) or restaurants etc. Again you may save $2 a meal but when you factor up the number in your party and frequency then the savings mount up.
If you're going to do any of the minor attractions which you can't buy tickets in advance for then again often things like crazy golf you can get coupons for which ar eusually for up to 6 people.
If you prefer fixxy drinks then you can buy the souvenir cups and refill them over the day cheaper and often (like Sea World ) if you go back for a second day you pay a reduced rate and they put a barcode valid for that day on it. also means you dont have 20 cups to try and fit in the luggage when you come home. You can always put in a few plastic cups if you dont want to share the same cup and just refill it and pour it into the others.

Well... even without friends to share the cost of the villa with, renting one ends up cheaper than a hotel room for us (I know, I've counted and counted again, just couldn't believe it ).
Welcome to the forum Maggie! |

| Well thanks to everyone for their help it is much appreciated. Yes, I still need to buy the tickets for the parks.I have an idea what we want so that's a start. We are going for two weeks so will only need a seven day ticket. Will want to go to other places such as the Kennedy Space centre, Clearwater and probably Busch Gardens. That might take up most of the days and then there is only the evenings to worry about!! As regards the suggestion about renting the villa, we would need to have a car to get about which was why we opted to stay on International Drive. There is the trolley bus to get to the shopping malls and some of the hotels have transport to some of the parks. |

| Hi Maggie123, after a day at the parks, Kennedy Space Centre or wherever I wouldn't worry too much about the evenings. I'm sure other people will agree that you'll be lucky to be home by 10pm and won't have any energy left for much else. Although I would recommend you spend an evening in Old Town. It's surprising how the full on days soon catch up with you. If you really do want to do an evening show or activity, plan to spend that day relaxing, maybe a little shopping, so you will be refreshed and ready to appreciate it.
We have 2 children, aged 14 and 12 and even they were totally worn down at the end of 2 weeks so not just us forty somethings! The most we could manage, on the rare days when we left the parks at 6pm, was a quick shower, dinner and a round of crazy golf (which surprisingly takes a lot of time).
Best advice I can give you? Don't try to do too much, it will spoil your experience. Get your park tickets before you travel and let the evenings take care of themselves. But, and this is the important bit, I honestly believe you will love it so much that you will spend the next few years aiming to go back and visit the places you didn't get to this time.
