Could someone help, traveling to Orlando this December and can not decide who to book my car hire with - Dollar, Alamo or Budget?

Which is best located at Orlando International airport (flying with Virgin).
Which offers best cars (7 seater required).
Which offers best service.

Would appreciate any advice, Thanks.

Dollar and Alamo have different benefits;

Dollar - use the Dollar Express to miss out on queues
Alamo - you choose the car from the vehicles in the row allocated to you, slightly cheaper than Dollar.

At Christmas, we are using Dollar, next May we have just booked for Alamo. Both through www.floridahire.com

We have used all 3 and they have different pros and cons. The advantage with Budget is that you can register online a week or more before you go and then go directly to the kiosk instead of queuing at the desk. If there is more than 1 of the type of car you have booked then you have some choice. There are qute ofen free upgrades with Budget but probably not at peak times. The three options are very easy to compare on the uscarhire.co.uk site

Hi
We rented with budget and fly in 9 days. How do you go about registering online?

Thanks
Graeme

We use www.floridahire.com (link above) and the last 2 visits have used Budget as they worked out a little cheaper (although Dollar and Alamo may have different deals now).

Each time there was hardly any queues at the desk.

Yes, Budget do seem to come out the cheapest.
Also with the silver package you "collect car with a full tank of fuel, and return with a full tank of fuel" which to me, seems to be a better system.

At the moment I seem to be edging towards Budget.

we have used all three rental companies and found them all to be fine, if you are going for two weeks then the gold option is best

We have used all 3 companies. We gave Budget a try this time as they were slightly cheaper and advertised a free upgrade. However, when we asked, they apparently didn't have any of the next size car left. You can only speak as you find but we found their agent rather unfriendly, or maybe he was just having a bad day. We have always found Dollar or Alamo representatives most helpful. I suppose you get what you pay for.

Have just returned and used Budget for the first time (mainly as you can return the tank full and I preferred this rather than running on fumes to the airport!) However on trying to collect the car from the airport we were sent to the other side of airport as our car was over there. Arrived at the other side to find they knew nothing about it. Sorted eventually but when I spoke to the guy in charge he just said that was happening a lot lately! TO cut a long story short would not use Budget again. Don't know about locations at MCO, had 7 seater which was fine, not Budget for best service.

Thanks

5 suitcases and a large rucksack in the boot. Anything else would have to have been put in the car which we found very spacious but there was only 5 of us. Can't tell you about the make of car - it was white! I am sure someone else can help you with the make.
