Hi all was going to book a 7 seater but noticed the 8 seater was surpost to be 5 mpg better than the 7 and just wondered if any can confirm this as will be doing a fair few miles

Hi Paul, it depends which 8 seater you get, the one we take off Alamo is the Toyota Sienna, being a Japanese engine it is far better on mpg and is well worth the extra if you are planning doing a lot of driving. If you book through alamo you can pick your own vehicle from the line of 8 seat mini vans

Yes that's right, which ever car/van you book you pick your own from the relevant line of vehicles in the class you book, with dollar you get what they give you more or less,you can ask the guy who serves you but it is hit and miss,they are usually trying to get you to upgrade

i Had a toyota from alamo and did around 1800 miles in two weeks nad averaged 18.5 mpg

Don't forget US gallons are 3.8 litres, not 4.546 litres like UK gallons.
