We are looking to stay for 4 nights on the atlantic coast before heading to orlando, we would like a really nice quality hotel, not too far from cape canaveral area as we plan to watch the shuttle launch in October.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated

There are plenty of the reasonable hotels all on the beach in the stretch from Cocoa Beach to Melbourne - Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Hilton, Radisson etc. There is a new Crowne Plaza at Melbourne(Indian Harbour Beach).

If you want to watch the shuttle from your hotel, then the futher North the better.

Stuart

Having just arrived back from cocoa beach this morning, if you are looking for a place to stay while the shuttle launches, you may find that they are all booked already, I have been to a couple of restaurants in some of the hotels etc, and they are already fully booked.
