Hello

This October we are doing our first trip to Florida which is basically a roadtrip round the place....not bothering with Orlando on this trip....waiting till we have kids, basically we are flyign into Miami, up the Atlantic coast then across to the gulf coast down to key west, back to Miami and home.

First 2 nights we have booked into a hotel in Fort Lauderdale, after must do things to do there please.

Thanks
Diane

I would recommend visiting the Hard Rock Hotel, lots of shops, memoribilia, evening entertainment or just to stroll round and have a meal. I would try and visit some of the local shops owned by the seminole Indians.

Hope this helps a little

Try Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. Its an upscale shopping area, but it has great restaurants and if you walk right to the end, you will reach a harbour area with good restaurants, some affordable shopping and pleasant walks. We were last there in 2004, but are hoping to visit again this December. There is also a Cheescake Factory there, always a bonus! Just Google Las Olas Boulevard. Hope you enjoy exploring this area - we did!!
