| We've booked flights to Las Vegas next February for a week. Now having difficulty deciding which hotel to choose. We stayed at the Luxor for 3 nights in 2001, not been back since.
Does anyone have any recommendations? | Karen | | Report this post to a moderator |

| We have stayed in 5 hotels over the years
The Luxor the hotel was great but the rooms not as spacious as we would have liked
The Excalibur was our choice on our first trip couldn't fault it The buffet restaurant was superb, I am guessing could be a little dated now
The Stratosphere Hotel was a beautiful hotel, the rides at the top hotel were really scary
New York New York was ok but was very busy and the noise level was very high.
My favourite without a shadow of a doubt was The Golden Nugget the rooms, service and food were excellent in everyway. but its down town on Fremont Street. Happy memories | Barbara

Another vote here for the Venetian! Even if you don't stay there, you must go and check out the canals, gondolas and St Mark's Square inside the hotel
I can recommend the steaks at the restaurant (SWs?) downstairs at the Wynn too | Keith | Edited by - Sniff on 17 Jul 2008 15:58:54 | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| | I love... the luxor...planet hollywod, caesars palace, bellagio, venetian and wynn... the wynn is the bestluxury wise... and luxor feels like home... great offers on hotels if you register with them...also go to fatwallet.com on the vegas hotel promotion thread... it lists all the promos...I also like the Orleans off strip with its free shuttle and buffets etc thrown in... great for if you have kids also.. and go to the rio... voodoo lounge and watch the sunset over the mountains and the lights come on on the strip... brilliant!!!!! going in August... think the Wynn is going to get the vote this time... but the luxor has a terrific deal going on.... aaaargh decisions, decisions...
