| Hi again. I've not been on for a couple of weeks, as I've been planning another trip to Florida!
I was going save save save for 5 years and give us all a trip of a lifetime, and I'm still doing that, but I'm also planning a trip in January next year!
I'm so excited as you can imagine. I never imagined going again for along time yet, so this is amazing!
I have a few questions, and would be really grateful if you could help me.
1. My children will be 5 and 3 in Jan. At the minute they are 103cm and 88 cm (40' and 34'). What parks, apart from MK would they find the most enjoyable? Which rides will they be allowed to go on with me with them?
2. Photopass. Do they just do this in the Disney parks or is there a type of equivalent in US, IOA etc?
3. We'll be on a budget holiday this time, so want the cheapest of everything. This means we can't go to all theme parks or not many advanced dining reservation's. So which ADR's do you recommend? Where are the best places to eat? I've heard Coral something is nice?
4. What rides should we not miss? I've not been since 2000! SO I know there are A LOT there now that weren't before. Which can I take the kids on?
and 5. Has anyone got any time saving tips? The more the better. lol I'll probably not be able to go to any park more than once, so if anyone can tell me where to find the characters for pics, hidden treasures (mickeys, secret paths etc), and anything that would be helpful with a family on a budget.
Sorry for so many questions! I'm just so excited and don't want to comeback feeling we've missed out on something, as we probably won't get to go again until 2013!
We'll be going for 2 weeks, me, my uncle, and my 2 babies, for £1700. I think that is a great price. Is it, or should I look around more? How much would a villa cost? We would only need a 2 bed. Or even a condo type.
Sorry, enough questions! lol Any tips are most welcome!
Thanks so much in advance!

| The first time we went to Orlando (also in 2000) our children were 4,5,7 and 9. We found that they were too small for alot of the rides and the best parks were MK, Seaworld, AK and Universal.
Forget ADR's. Go to burger places - ie Wendys etc and the buffet restaurants such as Golden Corral or Ponderosa. These are very cheap for kids and they can pick and choose what they want.
There are too many rides to mention here so i'd recommend buying a good guide book a.s.a.p. which will give loads of info.
With regard to time-saving try and use Fastpass as much as possible and get to the parks early in the morning.
What does the £1700 include?

| | If you go on the websites they list all the heights for the different rides. Also search on the heights on here using the search facility and I think somebody has kindly listed all the heights (or at least most of them) We have done Orlando on a very tight budget before and even the cheap villa we had was great. It didn't have it's own pool though but a communal one which, because it's not as easy as going out in the yard, we didn't use. This time we've gone for a pool. Search around and there are good deals on accomodation too. Food wise the chains seem to be the cheapest. Mine love Ponderosa's! Usually we have breakfast before the parks, they fill up and don't need anything else (but can manage an iceream) until dinner. Have a fantastic time. | Edited by - sammibabe on 12 Jun 2008 12:11:33 | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |
