Does anyone know when the American Kids break up for Spring Break in 2009?

It differs all over the US, a bit like the UK, but generally is from March and into April.

My son has just come back he left on 29th april came back on the 13th may , he says it was a fantastic time to go ,as there was not much traffic ,and the longest he waited for any ride in Univerasal /Disney was 15 mins . He also said the weather was great NO RAIN and it was in the high 80s the whole time . Shops were empty too .

Spring Break is the 4th till the 9th of March 2009. We always look at college websites for more info as we don't mind the younger kids being around but find it too much and frankly quite intimidating when the college kids are around. Main US school holidays are 4th till the 19th of April. Had a really bad experience when 10 college spring breakers rented a villa right next to ours a few years ago - pool parties going on until the small hours and it spoilt are holiday completely. http://www.registrar.sdes.ucf.edu/calendar/academic/2009/spring/ shows that UCF is on spring break earlier than us.
