First of all I am not a Rangers supporter. In fact I'm not that keen on football.
I agree that the violence was disgusting and those who were involved are a disgrace to Scotland and Rangers.
However reports are that 150,000 to 200,000 football fans decended on Manchester but there has been no publicity of the good times that these poeple had. 42 arrests from this number of fans. Granted there were more than this involved in the "riots".

I am not condoning what happened in any way but in many of these situations you only hear of the bad never the good and the good can outweigh the bad.

The other question is how prepared were Manchester Council for this number of people.

I agree , yes it was discusting what the Minority did but it was the Minority , so I think its unfair to call every one Scum.My friends husband and his friends flew all the way from Ontario Canada and said although there was the small bit of rioting he never saw any of it until he saw a t.v at the airport .
I know there is never an excuse for this , but surely the fact that there was so much drink readily availible must play a part . I for one hope that every one of the thugs who participated in the riot are picked out , and banned from Ibrox for life . I also know that the normal average Rangers fans are sickend by this behaviour ,but it is in no way restricted to the the Scottish or Rangers for that matter .

By scum I was referring to the minority who rioted and brought shame to the other Rangers supporters who went to Manchester and enjoyed themselves peacefully. Obviously I was not referring to rangers fans as a general statement. I had friends who went down.
