| | My girls would like to do the trading pins at Disney this time when we go. I think last time we were there you could get a starter pack of some pins and a neck thing to put them on. Can anyone let me know how much the starter pack is, how many pins you get in said pack and can you get them from the Outlet Mall (can't remember the name just know how to get there)? Thanks | | Report this post to a moderator |

| Disney Pin trading can be a lot of fun but it can also be expensive . Older pns are sometimes available at the Premium outlets in the Disney store where they are often half price. They are also available in bulk on E-Bay but as with all things on E-bay you need to check out that it is a vald trader. The lanyards are not expensive and are often included in bulk buy packs. Disney Parks also stock starter packs but you will pay more for them (there is the guarenteee that they will be genuine in the Parks) Pins vary in price from $6.59 through to $15 The starter lanyard which has 2 pins for trading is just under $10. Do not buy a whole pile of the same pin. There are rules to pin trading so check on them. The green cast member lanyards are for children only to trade with. If you want to know more just ask. | Angela http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida-vacation-rental-2066.aspx

| Our kids, now teenagers have been trading pins for about 7 years now, they have a huge bag bulging full of them, I have been told they need another bag now.
They started with the starter lanyard, and now buy the starter packs without the lanyard, can be about 4 or 6 pins in the box for about $26, and they trade these on with cast members in the parks. They now have numerous collections of pins, as the pins are not just made randomly, they are usually in collections of either 4,6 and 8 and so on. They also do buy the any of the limited edition pins on sale, and have a couple of the jumbo pins as well.
When we find it very busy in the parks and the queues are a bit of a wait, this is the perfect opportunity to go pin trading around the parks and in the stores. We also look for hidden mickeys around the park, they have a park guide book to help you find them | http://www.onlinefloridavillas.com/florida-vacation-rental-1253.aspx http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida-vacation-rental-1784.aspx

| We used to but them at the Disney store at Premium outlets but the last couple of times they have not had them (2007) we were told that they were to stop doing them there, as people were buying them to trade, at the reduced price. I know thats what we did | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |
