| We are just north of Manchester and it rained like mad here this afternoon, just as I was out walking the dog . It had been sunny all morning and as I set off there was not a cloud in the sky and glorious sunshine, got my sunglasses out of the car so I could see as it was that bright. Well it waited until I was about a mile and a half from home when the heavens opened! It was still very sunny at first and was rather weird as when I looked up into the sky there were still no clouds , so where did the rain come from? Anyway, by the time I got home I was soaked to the skin, I could even ring out my underwear and then we had thunder for a couple of hours. Not raining now but is a little overcast and having just spoken to my Mum on the phone who lives less than 3 miles away I was surprised that she had not had any rain, so it certainly was very localised | Karen http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida-vacation-rental-2185.aspx | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

We are in Wigan and had the same as Karen. Anyone who watched the Man Utd game could see how much rain and thunder we had this afternoon | Lynne http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida-vacation-rental-1507.aspx | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

After arriving home at lunchtime from 90 degree Orlando to 75 degree Manchester, we were pleased to see it wasn't raining. later, massive thunderstorm and I had to put my waterproofs on to go playing a golf match. 5 miles down the road, there was no rain and that's the way it stayed.
