Hi all,
the last time we were in Orlando, 2 years ago, the congestion on both the i4 and 192 were really quite bad at times.

Although this did`nt spoil our fun i was wondering if things had improved to any degree during the past 2 years. There was some road widening work on the i4 when we were there. Has this finished now, and has it helped with the congestion?

There are no roadworks on the 192 currently - they've all been finished about a year ago.

Can't tell you about the I4 though, although I expect someone else can, as we never use it.

We have been up and down the I4 a few times in the last three weeks and have had no problems whatsoever, even at 5.30 yesterday evening.

192 has just been resurfaced partly between I4 & 192. The roadworks were completed in the late evening to throughout the night. Not much disruption at all.

2 years ago was the peak of the roadworks on both roads, mainly the new junction of the I4 and 192.

All this is now completed. When we were out at Christmas, a real peak time, there were no real delays.

We returned from Kissimmee last week and had no delays on either the 192 or I4 during our stay.

To avoid the traffic lights on the 192 we use the road behind from Entry Point Sherberth Rd west, almost to Orange Lake and Osceola Parkway going east from Sherberth Rd. Although it's a toll rd you only pay if you enter or exit at Poiniana or east beyond. The new Western Beltway (429)(toll) links with the Florida Turnpike and Apopka and is great for anyone coming from Davenport or Clermont to WDW.

You will find the I-4 and 192 much improved since your last visit

Have a brilliant time

We're here now and have been using the I4 at all times of the day, no congestion. The roadworks they did seem to have done the trick!!

We were over for part of the Easter holidays and there were no traffic jams on either.

We have been up and down the I-4 from Orlando to Lakeland, a few times in the past week and there have been no hold-ups and no roadworks, traffic has flowed very smoothly.
