| | My in laws are flying from Dublin to Orlando on Delta flight 177 next month and the flight number remains the same for the Atlanta - Orlando sector. Has anyone travelled on this flight and if so can they advise if there is a plane change in Atlanta. My assumption is there probably will be but I thought I would ask in case anyone on here had travelled on this particular flight. | | Report this post to a moderator |

| We travel from manchester with DELTA via ATLANTA and no problem DELTA do not fly direct to MCO so ask how long before the next flight ATLANTA TO MCO to make sure they have enough time to get to the gate that the plane takes of . If they have booked with a agent they should have allowed enough time in between . If they have booked direct with DELTA it should show on your e - ticket the time from ATLANTA TO MCO . Hope this helps . MAUREEN www.onlinefloridavillas.com/villas/1683.aspx | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| I'm sure there will be a change of plane in Atlanta. A number of airlines do that with flight numbers.
If I was a cynic, I'd be inclined to think that they want to give the false impression that they have a direct flight. | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| | Thanks for the feedback. I'm also inclined to think it will be a plane change, which if that is the case, they will only have a max of 1 hour 20 mins for the change as there scheduled arrival time is 15:10 and departure 16:30. I am therefore preparing myself for a wait at Orlando, as a result of them invariably missing the onward connection at Atlanta. | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| It should actually be possible to do in that time, we did similar to this last month, without a hitch on the way in. (Dont even ask about the return flight )

| quote: Originally posted by Carla Alastair, they should be fine for time, because they will pass through US immigration in Dublin. Therefore when they get off the plane in Atlanta all they need to do is to collect their luggage and check in for the next flight. Connections between terminals are excellent in Atlanta.
Carla, I had previously contacted Dublin airport and they advised me that not all flights clear immigration there. They advised only a few a day and mainly Aer Lingus. | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

My Parents arrived on this routing, same flight numbers, on 20th April....and they missed the connection - finally arrived in Orlando around midnight. Speak to Delta and move them in advance of travelling. | Carol http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida-vacation-rental-673.aspx

| We've done the Manchester Orlando route with Delta a few times and missed the connection flight twice. It hasn't been that much of a problem, however, as they seem to have an Atlanta to Orlando flight more or less every hour, so they've just moved us to the next one with very little fuss. On one occasion, we just made the connection by running flat out to the gate. We made it but our luggage didn't, so we had to wait at Orlando for the next flight to arrive with the bags.
