| Our first trip was Oct 2006, hubby was the only one ever flown before so for me and the kids the adventure began when we stepped into the airport, once landed the main thing we all remember was walking out the airport the heat and glorious sun hit us, still love that feeling now it feels like I'm home stopped for dinner on way to villa, could not believe how lovely the villa and pool were. First day unpacked, shopped and relaxed at villa, in the pool. First day out was our eldest daughter's 15th birthday and she chose Magic Kingdom, so glad she did, it was true magic, the first glimpses on the ferry boat, walking down main street and the Drems Come True show had just started at the palace and when Mickey got everyone chanting we, even OH and teenage boys all joined in, I had tears, so did ED and OH, just the perfect day topped off with birthday cake late night back at the villa Magic Memories. Have a wonderful holiday | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| October 1987 so this was over 20 years and I don't think the grey cells can remember that far back but the first vivid thing I do remember was all the big glitzy billboards that I had only ever seen on tv oh and King Henry's Feast!
We did a week in Orlando and a week in the Bahamas which I detested and spent most of that second week trying to get a flight back to Orlando! | CDV

| September 1981 was our first trip, just me and (then) boyfriend. We stayed in Miami for 10 days and went onto Orlando for 4 days, WDW was the only park opened then but Epcot was being built. Like Trish this was my first time abroad, this was a package holiday flying with Freddie Laker!! The next time we came was in October 1997 with our 3 children, seeing our youngest daughters face at WDW Spectro Magic night time parade brought tears to my eyes, I remember that so clearly. | We flew via Maine, where we landed for refuelling and were allowed off the plane for a 'Flakey Jakes' Burger. I remember saying to my husband [we were shattered as we were in the throws of an extension at home, and had spent half the night bailing torrential rain out of the footings :(] as I had my first American Coffee " I don't care how good it is, I am not doing this journey again" He often quotes that We stayed at the Marriott on I-Drive- now the Wyndham- andourfirst day was at Magic Kingdom -we took the monorail over, and I was frightened in case it was a scary ride LOL - and when we looked down Main Street, I had tears in my eyes- the music, the sights, even the bins themed to the land they were in - I was mesmorised. BUT, I had 'Jelly Bean' Shoes on -wow did I have blisters by midnight -the elctrical parade came round, and I was overwhelmed -the fireworks -tears -it was a perfect day. The next day we hired a video camera the size of a small house, and went round again video ing everything to show everyone back home. That was in about 1984-5 and we have been going every year since- we have been to other places also, but nothing compares. When we took our parents after we bought our first villa, My Mum summed it up beautifully " Every child, no matter what their age, should come to Magic Kingdon" | Susan J

| Our 1st trip was in April 1993. This again was a once in a lifetime holiday, I only went for the kids (then 11 & 5)thought I would hate it not my thing at all, how wrong can you be. The first day was spent driving around and trying to get our bearings. By the end of the fortnight, we were all (but most of all me) absolutly hooked. Returned on the 3rd April from our 11th trip to Florida and have just booked to go again in December.
We have tried other States, California, Nevada, Wyoming, Utah, Colerado to name a few, they were all nice but when I go to Florida I just feel so at home, why would I want to go anywere else | Lyn | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| Our first trip was 1995.
First day we went to a welcome meeting at Medieval Times, bought park tickets and signed up for trips to Church Street Station, Pleasure Island and Mickeys backyard BBQ.
We then went to Seaworld.
2nd day we went to Magic Kingdom and stayed all day from opening to closing!

| Love reading all your stories, it brings back such memories.
On our 1st trip we did it all wrong. Flew into Atlanta, quick turn around and on to the next flight to Orlando. Got to the departure lounge, my car hire paperwork read, go out side and wait for the bus to collect you, to go to the Alamo site. No bus arrived, after 30 mins we realised that it was inside the terminal! Anyway, got excited about picking out the car & set off driving to I Drive, it was dark by now, and we hit a thunderstorm. Thank goodness there wasn't much traffic on the road. Managed to find the hotel and crashed out for the night. Up at 5.30am next day, warm, sunny and walked down to Dennys for breakfast. It was wonderful! Felt that we were finally in America. In sea world by 9am with jaws trailing on the floor at all the sights. Went on a water ride and got soaked. Now only go on them late afternoon just before we leave. Cried when I first saw shamu. No other holiday compairs.

| Our first visit was in 1989 and we had a nightmare journey from the airport, no road signs, got lost ended up on Central Florida Parkway which wasn't open then when we got to the 192 did not realise it was so long, went the right way thought it must be wrong, turned round and went the other way, found the hotel (or so we thought) only to be told it was 12 miles the way we had already come. We were at the wrong Howard Johnson. Brian was all for turning round and going back to the airport and going home. Fortunately I persuaded him otherwise.
That was just the first of many times that we got lost on that holiday.
After that had a fantastic holiday and the first day was spent at Magic Kingdom. | Jill and Brian http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida-vacation-rental-2089.aspx | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| Hi our first trip went really well.
We had a few problems on our second trip, we got lost on the way to the villa................when I say lost,I mean very lost, we started seeing signs for the coast (melbourne beach) We eventually got back on track. Just before we arrived at the villa, my husband made a comment about an oncoming vehicle being on the wrong side of the road............of course it was us on the wrong side of the road.....and the oncoming vehicle ? .........a school bus !!!!!!!!! Since then we decided to take a taxi from the airport Ellie | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| Our first ever time in Florida was in 1995 when we were enroute to Cancun in Mexico when the plane had to divert to Orlando to pick up a pilot for the return flight to UK. When we landed we look at each other and said lets get off here it just felt right but of course we could not and went on to have 2 weeks in Cancun. When we got back home we booked up for Florida and have been coming back every year and now at least twice a year ever since. | http://www.orlandovillarental.com/florida-vacation-rental-3206.aspx# | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| Our first trip was in Jan 1992 i don't remember all that we did but our children were 2 and 6 at the time. We got lost and ended up at disney trying to get to the villa we had booked on Lindfields ran up a grass verge ! But eventually got to the villa Five adults and two kids we were a little short tempered by the time we got to villa but once we unlocked the front door the wow factor just hit us the villa was stunning and i remember walking around it in ore! We were there for three weeks and did all the disney parks and universal seaworld bush gardens all the water parks and Kennedy Space Station oh and drove to St Petersburg, we got lost again and ended up in a very dodgy area! Played lots of miniature golf we loved it so much been back think i's 12 times and we own our own villa now and will be back again end of May. At least we don't get lost anymore! | Our first trip was September 1996 with Thomsons Holidays, at a villa in Beaunaventura Lakes
First day we went to a welcome meeting at Splendid China at 9am & drove along the 192 not having a clue where it was. Eventualy arrived, & picked up our pre-ordered park tickets, then drove to the nearest Sizzler as we were starving. Drove back along the 192 & popped into a Winn- Dixie near the villa, loaded up with supplies, then spent the rest of the day in the pool at the villa.

| My first & unfortunately only visit to Florida was in March 2005, We stayed in a private villa at westridge in Davenport, which belongs to my Mums friend, Once showered & dressed our first morning was spent shopping at Walmart, I was like a kid in a sweet shop, we spent $250 & had 3 trollies full of food, wine & beer, Once home & shopping unpacked, we lazed by the pool with a glass of wine or 3...or was 4? Had a BBQ & chilled out, In all honesty i have to say it was 2 of the best weeks of my life, We did Magic kingdom, Animal kingdom, Sea world, & Discovery cove & swam with the Dolphins (such an Awesome experience) We ate out most nights & had a fantastic takeaway from the chinese place at Berry town, I genuinely didn't want to come back to England & sobbed like a baby on our last morning,

| Hi Sharon,
You might be on holiday now but had to reply to your post. We went to Orlando for a once in a lifetime holiday in May 2003, me, my hubby and 5 year old daughter and father. We went to Magic Kingdom on our first day and the feeling on walking into the park and down Main Street with THE CASTLE at the end was just wonderful.
We never stopped smiling that holiday and the following three holidays there.
We are going at the end of December and can't wait to see the Christmas decorations. Hope you had a great time surely the first of many.

| Our first visit was in September 1993, as the last stop on a month-long trip round the USA. We had visited New York, New England, Arizona, Utah, Oregon and Seattle, but our last few days in Orlando were definitely the highlight. My OH (fairly new boyfriend at that time) had done it all before so I had the benefit of his experience and made the most of every minute. I tried every ride, however sick it made me feel!
We made it back a couple of years later when we were living in Canada and had to escape our first Canadian winter as we thought we'd never see sun again. A very expensive and disappointing trip to Disneyland Paris once our son was born helped make up our mind that Orlando was the only place for us. Now with kids of 9 and 3 and our own villa, we've lost count of how many times we've been - even 3 times last year still doesn't make you tire of the place. | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| our first visit was 14 years ago ,when my children were 4, 8,and 12 . When we arrived I thought my husband was going to have a stroke when he saw the size of our hire car [ a crown victoria]. We drove to our holiday rental in Lindfields [ with many detours ] opened the door of the villa and was amazed at the size and space in the property . I remember we decided to buy our park tickets ect when we got there ,so I bought them all at the one time the total cost 1000.00GBP , but I bought 7 day hopper passes with no expiration ,to make sure we had to come back . One thing I do remember was that we did a park visit almost every day we were there [ BIG mistake] , we needed another holiday to recuperate . We have went back 16 times now and own our own villa ,and if I am not there at least every 6 to 8 months I get very broody ,now my kids are going on their own ,its just like yesterday since they were running around with their mouths wide open with me with big tears in my eyes . | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |
