Hi

Was thinking of visiting Lakeland on our next visit. Have read that its quite a nice town in between Orlando and Tampa. Anyone ever been?

We have been many times, has good restaurants and shopping. Well worth a visit.

There are many beautiful lakes and old fashioned shops at Downtown Lakeland as well as the normal shops in Lakeland.

If you go, look out for all the swans...

Also, if you fancy some shopping whilst you're there - try the lakeland Square Mall - it's not as big as the Florida Mall, but it's got all the main shops, and it doesn't get crowded - unless you go on a Saturday...

We've been quite a few times (mainly geocaching as there are tons of them in Lakeland) but have had a good explore while we were there and would agree with all of the above. It's a lovely place to visit.

We love the Lakeland area it is not as commercial as the FLORIDA mall more for local people and there are restaurants ,There is a golfing community .
