A few owners have mentioned this morning that some Direct Messages (DM) they had saved are now missing.

We've looked into it and identified the problem as an upgrade to the DM part of the forums we did a while ago. This had a default setting we'd not spotted which resulted in all non-recent DM's being automatically deleted from time to time.

We intend to try and restore a backup of the DM's from two days ago later this afternoon. This will hopefully restore the missing DM's. The downside is any DM that was posted since the backup was made will be lost.

We just wanted to bring this to people's attention.

It's all completed and the lost DM's are back. We've also managed to retain any posted since the last backup so they should be totally up to date
