I am sorry if this has been asked before or is very clear to other people, I can't find anything on a quick search, but I am confused about opening and closing times for the parks.

On Disney sites they mention for example that during June Animal Kingdom is open from 9am till 8pm. However some of these days have Extra Magic Hours which means that the Park could open 1 hour early or close 3 hours late. Does this mean for people that are not Disney residents that the park is open during this time or 10am till 5pm.

Sorry if this seems a basic question but after looking at a few sites it is not clear to me. Thank you for any help

The extra hours are for Disney hotels guests only. Try to avoid that park on its early hours day, it is best to visit the next day.

The advertised hours on the disney site are for all guests - the extra magic hours are additional to this.

Thank you Millie that is what I thought. Its just I was getting confused with, for example Disney say the Magic Kingdom is open 9am till 11pm on the 1st June 2008, however it also says this is a Extra Magic Hours in the Evening as well.

I am taking the opinion to avoid any days with extra magic hours as suggested these will be busier anyway.
