| James, we always used to bring back Skippy too until we discovered that Costco sell the big jars here in the UK. Believe it or not, I have also found it in my local Poundland store!

| It probably won't surprise you to hear that Mrs Peg spends a little bit of time during the holiday hunting down anything Tigger related - especially the beanies.

| I notice that earlier in the thread, someone mentioned that they bought back asthma inhalers. Can anyone help me find out which ones are available, where from and how much they are please? I am asthmatic and didn't know you could buy them over there without seeing a doctor first!
BTW we always buy the toothpaste from Walmart with the added 'bleach'! It really does work! On our last visit our son in law bought back loads of Maguires car cleaning fluids and polishes - apparently it is extortionate over here! | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| | My son travels regularly to the US, so we usually have some request for something in Walgreens or a similar store . He arrived from Boston this morning with mouthwash which was on special offer and chocolate chip cookies for his little sister and oh I forgot Benadryl(its coming to that time of year) . | Olive | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| I have to stop myself buying any more towels, I have bought so many in the past, usually buy kitchen gadgets, hubby buys car parts. I bring loads of sc*apbooking thinks, have to be carefull to many pads of paper and card can get very heavy. My daughter usually gives me a list of things she wants, thinks for the house and more things for the dogs. I also like the larger kitchen rolls usually bring back a big pack. There is very little in our suitcases when we go, but they are always hard to close when we come back. | Lyn | Edited by - Lyn on 04 Jun 2008 22:56:50 | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

Seriously - what are the limits?
Thanks.
145 quid each..... dont forget just how cheap it is over there, a lot of my dog toys were in the dollar box in target!! also love dollar tree!!!
Thanks for the replies, people. There are 6 of us travelling, with the youngest being 6 years old - does the 145 quid allowance apply to everyone? Even my kids?
Ta.
Tell you what though the one time we did have something to declare as hubby bought a 6 pice combo cordless power tool set in a huge case, it took us ages to finid out where to go. Even by the time tax and duty was paid on it he still saved over £250 on the price they were here at the time. | Babblin Boo http://www.orlandovillas.com/villas/92.aspx

| | for us it's clothes, mainly abercrombie and american eagle, toys and gadgets that you never see or see many years later here in the uk and once it was a Tag Heuer watch niece carried the box through whilst other half wore it - sorry customs, no duty declared on that.... | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |
