I'm arriving in Florida on 3rd April, I have my Sat Nav with maps of Florida and have hired a car.

Now all I need to know is where do I go for shopping in Orlando and the Tampa Bay area? If any of you can point me in the right direction with some addresses it will be appreciated.

If you like shopping then you'll be in heaven! There are numerous malls and especially popular are the designer outlets.

Try Googling some of these; Florida Mall, Mall at Millenia, West Oaks Mall, Festival Bay Mall.
Orlando Premium Outlets, Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores, Prime Outlets International. This is not a definitive list but a good starting point and is only around Orlando, you will find others in the Tampa Bay area. The individual web sites will give directions and opening times plus many allow you to print off discount coupons. Guest services at malls and outlets will also give discount coupons if you ask.

There always seems to be some kind of sale on and there are fantastic bargains to be had, especially with the dollar rate in our favour at last. If you're looking for something in particular just ask, someone here will know where you can find it!

All you'll need are the zip codes in your Sat Nav and you're away-remember though it will take you the shortest route and ours took me through some of the "more unusual" routes-still it opened my eyes a bit!!

If you are travelling between Orlando and Tampa you can stop off at the Lakeland mall and shopping Plaza. All the main stores are there and much quieter than Orlando.

and don't forget Lakeland Square Mall off the I4 between Tampa and Disney ... 3800 US Highway 98 N Suite 304 Lakeland,Florida 33809-3833 ...That also has Best Buy and Circuit City in the same area

I'm thinking of renting a home in Hampton Lakes. How far is Hampton Lakes to the main shopping stores and Disney world?

Hampton Lakes is between 11/15 minutes to get to the Disney park Animal Kingdom is the nearest. but if you take the Western Way SR429 with a dollar toll you can also get right in the middle of Disney in about 10 minutes or so, at the moment a very quiet road.

Shopping Centres approx 2o minutes to get to the premium outlets about 25/30 minutes to the Florida Mall and Mall at Millenia
