| Day 8
Today was our last day at Terra Verde before moving to our next accommodation. Typical that the Tiki Bar opened and the pool seemed to be bit warmer! We had negotiated a late check out with the management company so we spent the morning at the house washing the bedding and packing up our stuff. At midday we loaded up the car and spent the afternoon at the Terra Verde pool sampling the hotdogs and I had a Sangria ;-) The kids were loving the pool action as there were lots of other children there and even Neil got in.
At 4pm we moved up the road to Royal Palm Villas for the second week of our stay, we have stayed here before so know where everything is etc. We briefly unpacked and then we needed food as we were all starving so we got ready and went to Logan's Roadhouse as Syd had been asking to go back as she enjoyed it last trip. We had about a 35 – 40 minute wait as it as busy and Libby moaned the whole time! Note to self – eat earlier for the children! the kids like it here because there are barrels of peanuts that you can eat and throw the shells on the floor roadie style!
Finally seated we had an interesting server lol, there is no fine dining about this place but it is nice food but it is very spit and sawdust – I joined in by tipping mother in laws sprite over the table! damn I missed her lol!. I ordered an Onion Brewski sirloin steak with with two different types of onions, I chose a vegetable kebab and baked potato for my sides. Neil had a Hot Beef Sandwich with Texas toast and a baked potato, mother in law opted for Country Fried Chicken Tenders with a honey mustard sauce, Libby chose – wait for it ! Macaroni cheese! and Syd was slightly adventurous and went for a Cheese Roadie and fries which was like a cheese burger in one of the delicious soft rolls they serve here, you get a large basket all buttery and hot on the table – yumm! I also had a cocktail – a Roadhouse Tea which was considerably stronger than the Mai Tai at Red Loster and I left stuffed and feeling slighly sozzled – I am such a lightweight!
Photos to come as I did remember the camera but it's on charge at the moment back at the house and Neil is in the pool lol!
