I have had the Cherokee for all my recent visits apart from the last when I had a Highlander. I think that maybe the Highlander was just that bit better finished inside, seats seemed a little better for me. Overall not a lot in it.

Still as the car hire companies do not guarantee what model you will get don't worry about it.

Although we normally use Dollar, on our last trip we booked with Alamo through www.floridahire.com and as you say, picked our car. We picked the Highlander. Japanese engines are generally more fuel efficient than US engines, th Highlander was a nice drive and plenty of space.

We've just come back and we had a GMC Acadia through Alamo. It is a fantastic vehicle, very comfortable and spacious. We had 4 adults with 2 bags each and one hand luggage each and there was loads of room. Over the last 7 years we've always had a 4x4 in Florida and this was by far the best one we've hired and it only had 25 miles on the clock when we picked it up. The downside was it only did 10 miles to the gallon but it was worth it!

We rented an Alamo 4x4 at Christmas and had quite a long line to choose from. Had a Toyota 4Runner with 18 miles on the clock and managed to get 6 suitcases in the back; 3 large, 2 medium, 1 small and 4 pieces of hand luggage. There were 4 of us and we had plenty of space in the car.

We always have a 4x4 when we hire a car
When we have visited Florida we have always hired from http://www.floridahire.com

we have tried a Toyota Durango,Jeep Cherokee, and lastly a Jeep Cammander.
A Durango was our favourite until we tried the Commmander. This was suberb in every way sheer luxury.

There is not too much between all the 4x4 you mention so I think you would be happy with any of them. At least 'gas' is not as expensive as the UK so driving is cheap in comparison to UK.
