| Hi all
I may be looking a little early - our trip is hopefully going tobe next year (28th March - 18th April 2009)
I was hoping to be able to book our flights, villa etc in advance so that we can ensure we get the villa we want .... however it would appear that the scheduled "Virgin-type" flights for that time have all been sold ... and the charted flights aren't released till about 10 months before they depart - which means about May for us.
Spo, I now feel that I cannot book a villa as we can't guarantee that we can get the flights at the time we want them !
How annoying !!!!
Has anyone else ever had this problem - did you resolve it or just wait ?
Any advice would be welcome !
Plus - I have only just found this website and would love to see what sort of villas are available - there is 2 adults (me and my husband) and our daughter going - atm we are finding a lot of villas are very expensive - as there is only our family going we cannot "split" the cost with another family group ....
How do I go about searching for a suitable villa and are there any descriptions of the areas/communities.
Sorry about all the questions !! | | Report this post to a moderator |

| Hi Carolyne, welcome to the best Florida website there is
Scheduled airlines do not normally release their seats until around 11 months before, so I think you will find the seats are not relesed yet. I would recommend you choose your villa first as they do tend to book up quickly for this time of year. I already have booings for April/May 2009, but like most owners, I will stay flexible by a few days as long as I don't get an adjacent booking, where as the airlines are not flexible unless they are paid fully flexible fares which involve a premimum. Put an enquiry in to the 4 sites above with your preferences to see what is available. Traveling at Easter, you will pay peak rates, but when you compare to peak rates that are charged in a hotel for one little room, you are getting ammazing value for your money. With a villa, you get your own pool (no putting your towel down to reserve your lounger) When the kids wake in the morning, they have their own TV to keep them occupied. You can make the occasional meal at home to keep your costs down and breakfast at home can save loads on your holiday. Once you have had a villa holiday, then you will never want to stay in a hotel again | Shirley http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida-vacation-rental-850.aspx | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| | We too are a family of three and its jsut a case of finding the villa you want, we always used to look for 3 bed but sometimes not much difference in the price of a 4 and if you like the villa then the extra would be worth it. | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| Thanks again for the feedback .... hoping to be able to book the flights really soon and then book the car hire separatly - if we do that I guess we just don';t pay the weekly insurance costs (as I thinkt he flightspay somehow be cheaper with the car than without) !!!
Quite bizarre ....
Any other agents that may have flights now - or is that against the rules of the forum ()if so sorry !! anywhere I could find this form instead :) | | Report this post to a moderator | goto top of page |

| | Carolyne, as others have said, I'm sure the reason you can't find Virgin flights is because scheduled flights aren't released until about 11 months before, not because they're all booked. I don't have the experience of others on here but I'm sure that's the case. | Jane

| Try booking a fly-drive with Virgin or BA. You don't need to do the hotel or aything, literally just the flight and car hire. From experience I can tell you that it quite often works out cheaper too. We've just booked with BA from teh 31st of MArch 2009 for 14 nights and there are 6 of us so there is availability. The flights are held in stages too for allocation. They first start selling for flight seats only and then allocate for their own holiday departments andthen allocation is given to third parties such as agents.
