Hi, (Sorry if this has been answered before)

Let me please congratulate you all on a wonderful site. The information is proving extremely useful for our first family holiday to Florida. We have booked the villa, car and park tickets from your recommendations, Thanks.

My Question, We will be travelling to Florida on the 15th July for 2 weeks (School Holidays). Can you tell me which are the best days of the week to visit which parks ? Do the Americans tend to fill the parks at weekends ?

We understand it will be busy, but making the best or our time will surely make this a holiday never to forget.

Many Thanks
Russ

These are historically the busiest days for the parks

Magic Kingdom: Monday, Saturday & Sunday
Epcot: Wednesday & Friday
Disney-MGM Studios: Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday
Animal Kingdom: Monday, Tuesday & Friday

That said, the most important thing is that you arrive early make the most of the first 2 hours with a good plan and use of fast pass.
Don't expect to do it all , enjoy it, take in the people watching, there are some quieter spots in the park where you can just relax.
During July it is wise to be in a pool or indoors sometime between 1'0clock and 4 0clock so build in some down time back at the villa or by eating at noon and then relaxing for a while if you want to watch the afternoon parade.. If we are in MK or Epcot we make use of the nearby resorts.

Go right to left round the parks it is quieter in the morning if you go anti clockwise.

The Best days at disney parks tend to vary these days depending on which parks have "extra magic hours" on which day. Unless you are staying at a Disney hotel the best way to avoid the crowds is get there early and avoid the park that has the extra magic hour that morning. You can check the schedule for EMHs on the disney web-site

I would second the comment about avoiding the Early Magic Hour days for resort guests (unless you are a resort guest of course! )

Its a good idea to check on the Disney site which days are early magic hour days and take a note of them. Then you can avoid these days. A good day to go to a park is the day before or the day after the early hour day. Most resort guests will wait till the next day to visit the park or will have been the day before anyway. The early days have changed recently so i think the quiet days have also changed.

Keep in mind aswell if you are planning to go to a park for opening to see the opening ceremony this will not happen on the days that it is open early to resort guests as they will already be in the park. Saves disappointment at the gate.

I read somewhere that the water parks are busiest at weekends as a lot of locals go then. Not been yet so I don't know if it's true, but it makes sense!

Hi I've found a web site [edited out] that lists all the main parks and lists (in their opinion what days are busy etc) Not sure how accurate it is tho !! We haven't been since Oct 2005 so as we're going in August this time I wanted to try to get an idea of what to expect.
Hope its ok to post the web site

Any advice on the Universal parks.
Which days are busy and which are quieter.

I've been to both before but never thought to pick particular days, just turned up and a good time was had by all.

I would say that the weekends are busier than during the week. The locals use them as we do Thorpe Park or Alton Towers.

The only guide I would say is go for a week day, we never visit at the weekends as these are the busiest.
